Position Overview: We are seeking an expert in twin-screw extrusion to oversee QD masterbatch
production for UbiQD. The focus of the role is compounding and masterbatching nano particles in
different polymer matrices (PE, POE, EVA, TPU, PVB, etc.). A successful applicant will have a
prior commercial experience in polymer chemistry and masterbatch formulation and be able to
lead scale-up efforts for polymer extrusion. This role is central to enabling high-performance, and
manufacturable QD composites that are used to produce final polymer products in the agriculture
and solar energy industries.

Requires working on-site in Los Alamos, NM.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science and Engineering, Industrial Engineering,
Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a compounding/masterbatch industry
• Experience with formulation including UV stabilization, adhesion promoters, flow
modifiers, dispersion agents, and similar.
• Hands-on experience with twin screw extrusion equipment
• Experience in statistical process control, DOE
• Polymer manufacturing techniques, compounding scale-up, screw design experience
• Possesses professional written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to lead effective teams and collaborate with toll manufacturers
• Residence in or re-location to Los Alamos, NM.
• Be eligible to work in the USA and over the age of 18.
Desired Qualifications
• Experience in solving nanoscale dispersion challenges
• 6+ years industrial experience in producing color masterbatches or similar
• Experience in agricultural and photovoltaic film industries
• Thorough understanding of polymers, resins, additives, and pigments
• Project management professional certification
