I am a career and academic advisor at the University of New Mexico--Los Alamos (UNM-LA). I have worked at the college since 2012. After working in public education across the south, I came home to Los Alamos to combine my passions for teaching and for equipping people to pursue their ideal careers. As a career advisor, I offer career resources to UNM-LA students, such as resume and cover letter reviews, interview preparation, interest surveys, and internship connections. In academic advising, I assist with reviewing class choices, selecting a major, determining degree progress, and offering support for current class issues. I also coordinate our STeP transfer preparation program, which offers individual guidance for students in science, technology, engineering and math to graduate and transfer smoothly to a 4-year program. I am also an advisor for UNM-LA's Student Government and help to coordinate campus events.
