  • About

The Los Alamos County Council informally recognizes the Los Alamos Community Health Council (LACHC) as its community health planning body. LACHC membership includes local social services providers, business representatives, government agencies, and other interested community members. Members focus on working together to help improve the lives of older adults, meeting basic needs for those in financial crisis, and resiliency for youth and families. Every two years or so, LACHC conducts a Community Needs Assessment, which helps to guide the County in making decisions with regard to indigent health care, mental health services provided, frail, at-risk or under-served populations, and much more. Public meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month, from 12:00-1:30 p.m., in Room 330 at the County Municipal Building, located at 1000 Central Avenue, Los Alamos, NM 87544. For more information, please contact LACHC Coordinator, Deni Fell, at 505-663-1875 or 505-662-8068.
