About Us

Dance Arts Los Alamos is a non-profit dance school located in Los Alamos and White Rock. In our 2022-2023 Season, we celebrated our 30th year of serving the Los Alamos community, offering dance classes for students ages 18 months - adult with levels ranging from beginner to advanced. In 2022, we started our Adaptive Dance class for students with disabilities. We offer dance instruction in a safe, professional and structured environment. Dance offers life lessons like leadership, creative thinking and interpretation, teamwork, problem solving, discipline, goal setting, respect, and so much more. Dance classes shape individuals to make a difference!

We offer Mommy and Me classes, adult classes, along with Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theater, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Strength/Stretch, Flamenco, Scottish Highland, Classical Spanish, Boys Ballet, Dance Exploration, Pre-Ballet, and Swing. For our elementary, middle, and high school programs we offer beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels so anyone can find a class that suits their needs and level. Email office@danceartslosalamos.org for more information about registering for a class that suits you!

We have a staff of highly trained teachers in a wide variety of styles so our dancers can grow and progress each class. Our teachers choreograph for our winter and spring showcases which highlight the dancers performance skills and growth. Our winter performance is the Nutcracker on ''The Hill'', a trilogy of shows set in Los Alamos and created by our artistic director, Jonathan Guise.
