Dragonfly Playhouse is a fully licensed early education and care center in White Rock, NM. We are seeking a
full-time Director to be on site 35 hours per week. Our hours of operation are 7:30 am - 5:30 pm and
scheduling options will be explored during the interview.

Required Qualifications:
The candidate will be enthusiastic and approachable with an earned Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early
Childhood Education or a related field and one year of experience in an Early Childhood Growth and
Development setting and must adhere to state guidelines on a daily basis (ensure correct classroom ratios are
met and maintained for the duration of the day, ensure that all activities are recorded in the student information
system in a timely fashion, and ensure that all safety protocols are implemented). The candidate will serve as a
substitute teacher in any classroom as needed and remote hours before and after onsite hours may be
required to arrange for scheduling coverage. The candidate must be at least 21 years of age and understands
and meets the requirements set forth in this New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department
licensing document.

Desired Qualifications:
The candidate should have the proven ability to:
● Utilize Google suite for the creation, revision, and maintenance of all enrollment, business, and policy
and procedure records with accurate spelling, punctuation, and grammar and accompanying
identification information
● Communicate regularly with families through phone, email, or student information system to provide
information on special programming, required electronic paperwork, etc.
● Manage a staff of 6-12 individuals including the ability to manage professional files and training
opportunities for teachers while ensuring that they have met all training requirements
● Create, revise, and maintain in-house training modules for teacher professional development and/or
seek outside opportunities
● Conduct teacher observations to provide feedback on performance and suggestions for improvement
at regular intervals and in advance of bi-yearly performance reviews
● Communicate weekly with the Owner regarding supply needs and building maintenance needs
● Provide tours and communicate with prospective families over the phone and via email to provide the
family handbook and registration and enrollment forms
● Monitor any visitors to the building
● Plan and execute fire and emergency preparedness drills
● Plan and implement visits from community members with specialized expertise
● Create and implement the weekly schedule for teachers
● Understand and process monthly and special billing through the student information system

The candidate should have an earned NAC and ECE or CDA credential
Annual Salary starts at 43K with potential increase based on education and experience and includes paid
holidays, child care benefit, and PTO.
